Hello dear readers,
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for fall to officially begin. After this hot, sticky, wet summer- full of mosquitos, and an abundance of ticks, I’m ready for cool days and chilly nights. In fact, if you check back next week I’ll be posting my “fall 2018 family activity list” it’s chock full of fun weekend activities as well as shorter, but equally enjoyable, activities you can squeeze into weekday afternoons and evenings. That’s next week, today I’m going to share with you my go-to protein packed super-smoothie recipe. Just 4 awesome ingredients and a blender are all you need to enjoy this smoothie- well, and a cup of some sort, unless you want to drink out of your blender. Your choice.
What I love most about this smoothie- it’s made with four staple ingredients I always have on my kitchen, it’s healthy and tasty and my two-year-old LOVES to share one as part of our breakfast or after nap snack- that’s a true parenting win right there.

So here it is:
My four ingredient super smoothie
*mom tested, toddler, approved*
8oz of your favorite milk (some days I use whole milk, some days I use almond milk. Both ways are delicious)
1/4 C vanilla Greek yogurt
1 medium-ish banana
1 scoop Vega protein& greens protein powder (i love to order mine on Amazon, they have great everyday prices, clipable coupons and its prime eligible )
Just add everything to your blender ( I use a personal size blender for convenience unless I’m making more than one smoothie at a time.) Mix it up until the banana and protein powder have blended and your good to go. I love to add a handful of ice, but that’s not at all necessary, just a preference. This smoothie is healthy, filling and a great choice for busy moms on the go, or just anyone who doesn’t have the time to sit down and enjoy a snack or meal. Quick, delicious and you don’t have to compromise on your health.
I love to hear from my readers. Let me know if you give this recipe a try!
